Finding more customers is the challenge of every business owner, get found in more places by creating a business listing on these free directory sites.
It may seem that as soon as you think you have the whole search engine optimization gig down; there is another step to take. Finding more customers means that your site is showing up where your customers are looking.
This includes the first page of Google but it also means the directories. 46-49% of all searches are now mobile.
In addition to having your website optimized with great content, you have a few no cost tools that can help in your quest to find more customers.
One area businesses overlook is the directories that will allow you to post your business listing for free. Yes, it’s time consuming, some of these sites will only post your listing after sending a physical card with a pin code to your location, some require a phone verification, others just need an email confirmation.
The links listed here are all page rank 3 or above with good Alexa numbers. I’ve tried to only add the sites that don’t require a fee. After you’ve set up your listing and confirmed your email go back into your account and make sure that all the information is correct including your business logo.
My personal favorite is Merchant Circle. They make it easy for you set up a nice coupon.
Be aware that a few of these sites made a phone call to up sell their free service almost before I was done creating the account. It’s okay to say no.
